The Wheeling Hall
Sci-Fi paper project NFTS 2008
Plan and elevations for the Wheeling Hall – an amphitheatre used for the dissemination of propaganda to a subterranean population. Influences are taken from clockwork mechanisms to highlight the themes of the passage of time. A key feature is the threatening, oversized clock hand fan that is intended to slice its way through ariel space. The set is designed to resemble a panoptican prison of total surveillance where the watched are also the watchers and vice versa.
